The "Cool Mule" is an expression of what the Mule means to those who love mules; capturing the strength, unique abitilities, the determination, and the pride that the mule brings to any task asked of it. It is Cool to have a Mule!
Each Cool Mule is hand painted and signed by the artist. Each is reproduced in Lead Free Pewter.
Chris and Cindy Walker are passionate about mules. For many years they have successfully matched mules and people with mule sales through their website Texasmules.com. Their love for long ears has led them to commission renowned artist Keith Shannon to design a sculpture that reflects the unique characteristics of mules. The Cool Mule collections are whimsical sculptures that portray the mules endearing and fun personality and their undeniable strength and resilience. Each design captures a distinct activity or feature that mules are known for.

Keith Shannon, aka Keefer, an Air Force Brat of Irish descent, was born in Japan and presently lives in Lake Tahoe, California. Keefer creates a variety of whimsical sculpted works, including his Reindeer Christmas Collection, the Noah's Ark Collection, Moose Family, Goof balls, the new Cool Mule Collection and more. His pieces are sculpted out of clay, then molded and reproduced in California out of 100% lead-free pewter. Each piece is hand finished by the artist, then stamped. Keefer's attention to detail is remarkable. His characters bring out the child in everyone!
